Oh dear ... .you've definitely caught second-stage malaise of the ship-bug.
I've suffered with it for a long time alas. Sadly mine is very advanced, contagious and incurable

Actually I think I caught the bug off you in the first place, after seeing your wonderful HMS Victory at the Yeovilton show. :-D

My favourite Airfix 1/600 kit

Always loved the little landing craft and 'copters as a kid; two in the stash somewhere...
Best wishes

I have a personal attraction to the Fearless as I sailed down and back to the Falklands on her.

The kit does need a lot of updating to how she was in 1982 mainly to the deck between the two funnels where they fitted the SeaCat.

I agree with you the landing craft and Wessex helicopters are moulded well apart from the over thick rotor blades. What I need to find is 1:600 scale Seaking's

Nice haul there Alan.

I've only been slightly bad. Bagged an Airfix Jet Provost T3 today at work. Still waiting for the four I've ordered from Hattons.

All the best.

I'e just had a nice surprise at work. With this being a small company and as a thank you to the staff we all get a birthday present each year. Mine this year is a Badger 105 Patriot airbrush. ME HAPPY.
Also I've treated myself to some Hasegawa.

Being self-employed, I guess these count as a gift from my employer too :-D

Inspired by Giuseppe's build of the Tamiya Seiran, I got one as well. Then I got to reading about the aircraft and why it was developed and so I also got three more in 1/350 scale with a free submarine as well Image

Image

And this arrived today to further add to my 1/350 maritime collection 8-)

Don't I know it; it's just that I never get the time to really get cracking on any of them! I am really looking forward to tackling one of the Revell platinum sets (New Jersey et al) one day 8-)

They are also (at 1/350 upwards) some of the hardest kits to smuggle sneak accidentally find in the stash..... :-D
Best wishes

And to show that even if building them is contagious, so is buying the damn things!

Yet another addition to the nautical stash; I have to say I have been after one of these since they were released in the UK, and finally got one at a price I was prepared to pay. It's the first Merit International kit I've seen (or owned) and I'm impressed. It ain't cheap even then, but it is quality! Moulding and details are superb, and there is a good bit of PE as well as standard in the box so no real need to get any AM stuff to add even more cost. Oh, and it's big, around 680mm long

Image

These two caught my eye as latest releases on the Scalemates website; again not had the chance to buy any modelcollect kits before, and the quality of dtailing at 1/72 is great. There is also a shed load of PE in each box for the cage armour etc, plus gratings and the like and should make into two very nice models indeed. If anyone is interested in an in-box review of either of the bmp's or of The Ark, then shout up!

Cheers Igg... and hollers from the back: I'm interested in knowing more about the Ark and those two military items. Never come across that manufacturer myself.
