Actually given one of the group builds aims is to "foster interest in Airfix and other classic British kits" I shall have a look in town this weekend and see if I can pick up something Airfix. The B-24 Liberator catches my eye.

Narrowed down my list to 3 types :

Douglas DC-6A (Heller) which needs major surgery to stretch the fuselage
De Havilland DH.114 Heron (Airfix)
Convair TB-58A Boomerang (Italeri)

Still contemplating....

I haven't opened the box yet Bromo! I'll have a look at the weekend and get some sprue shots posted.

OK, I'm confirming my intention to do an Airfix Grand Slam Lancaster, and a Revell Halifax.

I hope to complete the Lanc and at the same time be playing with the engine nacelles of the Halifax to see if I can make them look a bit more like the real thing before deciding whether I continue with it as part of this GB.

regards,

Martin

Either this little fella is wearing a cape or there's a lot of flash here.

Not sure which version I'll be doing yet.

I'd like to register my interest :) and put forward the Matchbox Halifax in its most recent Revell boxing, to be finished as a Coastal Command GR.II.

I'm in (and hoping to break my chain on uncompleted GBs) with the Classic Plane conversion of the Mach 2 Blohm & Voss Bv-142 military aircraft to the airliner it was derived from...has spent the last couple of nights poring over the parts and it seems to be one of the better Mach 2 kits - we shall see...

I could be wrong Bromo but I think this might be a new mould. I'm sure someone here could confirm or deny that.

Definitely NOT a new mould...as seen by the crewman pictured. This was first released back in 1963.

As promised I will join in on this one. I am as yet undecided what I will build as yet but I'll have a look through the stash and get back to you with what I dig out.

All the best.
