Care to share your technique for the distemper effect? I assume its brush-painted..
Is this your sanderling?.

Yeah, sure, it's brush painted yes. First I applied the standard Finnish black/green camo with airbrush, then I applied the decals. On the "white 2" I simply painted the pattern using a thin brush. On the "orange 1" I used a stiffer brush and dry paint for a more weathered effect. On the "orange 1", the pattern became a little lumpy because the paint was a bit thick. I suppose I could have sanded it to make it more smooth, but I am not that much of a perfectionist :)
