Mig15 Fagot - Airfix 1/72 (New tool)
Mig 15 Fagot, North Korea April 1952, 821 IAP, Tatung-Kao airfield, pilot Maj G.F. Dmltryuk (23 Victories, 18 during the WW2).
Despite a lot of inaccuracies, impossible to correct, from a distance it looks like a Mig 15.
I've done little improvement:
- Add a missing frame on canopy.
- Correct the wings shape
- Replace main wheels with other 1/3 more bigger.
The mould it's very nice and the fit it's "Excellent".
Regards and thanks for viewing.

I think that modeling is a subtle mix of zen philosophy and absolute crazyness - but in my case I would not dare to specify the respective percentage of each......

Glorious work Giulio, that looks excellent
Best wishes

Here http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=429&start=1590 you can take a look at WIP.Eric Mc wrote:Looks nice. What are the inaccuracies?
Briefly an extract from my WIP
" .....Missing frame on canopy, wrong sized main undercarriage wheels and wings shape, are really easy do correct.
Tail shape it's not exactly the top of accuracy, but you can turn a blind eye.
But the fuselage it's about 4mm to long, and it's hard to correct.
I have two choices:
1) I don't care about the wrong nose, assemble the kit, have a lot fun and live happy (recommended)
2) Find a nice "test bed" aircraft, with modified nose, and obtain an unusual model.
Both are very attractive! ......."

Whatever the inaccuracies it is still a greta deal better than the old tool which was the first kit I ever assembled - back in 1960!
You have produced an excellent model as usual - wonderful finish.

Is it guaranteed that the drawings you used are 100% accurate? I'm not suggesting they are not - I'm just asking.

Great looking build.

4+ and Kagero publications scale plans.vacant wrote:Is it guaranteed that the drawings you used are 100% accurate? I'm not suggesting they are not - I'm just asking.
Both coincide with the measures of the plane, then I think are accurate to 99%.
Leaving aside scale plans etc, when you look the model, it seems to be nicely "plump".
