Airfix 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat with a little extra.

Post by Chuck Finley »

Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat (BuNu# 5193) flown by Machinist D.E. Runyon of VF-6 and operating off the USS Enterprise in August 1942.
The model is the new Airfix kit that has been enhanced with a Eduard cockpit and decals from Starfighter Decals. Sovereign Hobby Colourcoats were used for the non-specular blue-gray top color and non-specular light gray bottom. Enjoy :)

On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Nice job Chuck. I like that the canopy can be posed open.

That has turned out very nicely indeed Chuck. I have one of these kits in my "pending" pile to be built this year and I'll be well chuffed if it turns out looking something like yours!
