Grumman F-14A Tomcat, Hasegawa, 1/72
Grumman F-14A Tomcat, Hasegawa, 1/72
Grumman F-14A Tomcat
“Jolly Rogers” VF-84, US Navy
This is the “low visibility” boxing of the Hasegawa F-14. To apply the colour scheme I used a Halfords rattle can for the white bits (undercarriage, missiles etc) while the rest of the model was brush painted with Humbrol enamels. Decals are from the Kit.
Thanks for looking!

Nice build, I wouldn't have picked it as hand painted if you didn't say it

Very nice, but shouldn't the missiles also be in low vis LGG and not white?

Beautifully finished, and as others have said, you wouldn't know it was brush painted by looking at it, Top job.

If I am correct, that's the old kit, the one with raised panel lines:skypirate wrote:This is a fine kit (around 200 parts, if I remember rightly), well finished!

That is a fantastic piece of brush painting. So good in fact, it looks airbrushed! Great result.

Well don't let my comment make you think that you didn't achieve anything short of a beautiful finish on this bird. It is quite lovely no matter the color of the long shooty tube thingersStupot wrote:Thanks everyone!
