And now for something totally different, the Lockheed XM-808 Twister. This is a three man scout vehicle the US Army was testing from the mid 1960s to early 1970s before the project was cancelled at the end of the Vietnam War. This is another Cromwell Models kit that I had acquired and gave me a chance to try out the Desert MERDC camouflage scheme with my White Ensign Colorcoats.

Looks like something out of Thunderbirds. An interesting concept, but I've an idea the linkage might have been vulnerable to land mines et al. Nice model though.
