A Slight Case of Plagiarism.

Post by general rocket »

I liked AndrewR's Canadian M3 Grant, so I used the Mirage Russian M3 as the starting point. The fit and detail on the Mirage kit is excellent with negligible filler and filing. I cross referenced other sources found on the web with Andrews build thread and the results are as follows.

Trawling the web I found that the auxiliary fuel tank was from the Matilda tank. Having built the Airfix Matilda Hedgehog, I had one in the spares box, the filler cap was shaved from the kit and glued on top of the tank. Smoke Grenades where also sourced from the spares box (and I have know Idea what they came from) remodeled and fitted with a scratch built bracket.
Decals are entirely fictitious and sourced from the spares box.
An enjoyable build.

Comments and criticism welcome.

Another great armour build General. I also followed Andrew's build with interest as I'd never seen this variant of the M3 Grant before.
