Masterful Paddy, another superb build. Come on, don't leave us in suspense - what paints have you used etc. I note there appears to be a small Cross of St Andrew on there, which would indicate that this is in the markings of a Scottish regiment - Royal Scots Greys? and being a Challenger 1 I would guess at the first Gulf conflict? Sorry for the 20 questions, but inside I'm a bit of a trainspotter and like to know these things

Re: Tamiya 1/35 Challenger 1 mk3
Thanks guys -
Shaun, the Tamiya instructions are pretty vague with regards to regiments. The options are simply "desert version" or "NATO version"
I'd assume you are right about it being the Greys, though. The two regiments using the Challenger 1 during the fist gulf war were the Scots dragoons and the Irish hussars. So that would be my guess as well.
With regards to finish, the kit was painted with Vallejo ModelAir and washed with artists oils then dusted with pastels.
Thanks for looking in guys.

Great work Paddy!
I always liked Challenger. I have it on the my wish list. But the list of "free time" is shorter than the list of my models. That is why I am glad when I see such models as yours.
Regards!

That is just awesome Paddy. I believe it is the Scots Dragoon Guards, I have the trumpeter kit with similar markings that I have yet to build as this one......

Nice build. My favorite form of weathering. Just enough as to not distract from the beauty of the subject.
