I'm planning a street scene diorama based in 1970, with the Airfix Triumph Herald (started before I joined UAMF) and Volkswagen Beetle. Work on the Triumph at the moment is creating inside door linings to match the seats on the bare plastic door interiors

Early doors with the Beetle. Having looked up a VW website to get a note of period colours and interiors, I decided on "Beryl Green" (whoever she is!) A comparison of paint charts showed that Humbrol "Beige Green" ( Beryls dull sister?) was as near as dammit, just needing a coat of gloss varnish later

The paintwork on the Herald looks very sharp and neat!
Best wishes

Interior sides of the Beetle kit are a bit basic, so I painted on inner door panels and added door handles and window winders made from bits of staples!

For some reason I can't put photos and text in the same post, so the next photo is of the interior door detailing on the Herald. This time the handle and winder are more easily seen against the brown door lining

Ringo (geddit?) after a (second) coat of varnish. the first was cheap varnish that bubbled the paint, necessitating a red

I like the magazine and paper. A very nice touch. :)
