Do we have to pay to watch this performance?
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

No need to pay, Splash, it's a free gig. Turn on, tune in & drop out, man!

Progress -

Buttons on gaiters shaved off and masking tape flares added, with some filler to bulk them out. Epaulettes 'n' stuff shaved off tunic to make it a shirt. Cuffs shaved off sleeves & sanded down to make bare forearms. Filler added to head to make hair

Was going to make a Ronnie James Dio to go with it, but may need to use a slightly smaller scale of figure!

I get you Brother. He is of course a guitar Master, but still a miserable bugger. I saw them in '81 on the Difficult to cure tour at Stafford Bingley hall. An amazing first concert. Still got my original copy of 'Can't happen Here", and my concert Programme. My voice won't squeal that high now !!

Y'know, haven't heard 'Long Live Rock and Roll' for ages... off to Youtube !

Saw them at Ingliston, near Edinburgh, on the Down to Earth and Difficult to cure (2 nights) tours.
First gig was Whitesnake in '79 at the Glasgow Apollo. This is a painting that I did of the foyer of the Apollo at a 1982 Whitesnake tour....if I had enough 54mm figures, THIS would be getting done as a diorama!

This is wonderful Thistle and what a great painting too. Jeez that takes me back to a time when I used to go to rock gigs and all the boys looked like that, rock t-shirts, stained jeans, cut-off denim jackets covered in badges and/or patches worn over the top of biker jackets and the joy of being able to smoke without having to go outside. Them were t'days - long live rock and roll
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Many thanks for the comments guys. I now have the dilemma of wanting to make more on this theme, but I only have one more 1776 Grenadier, Civil War Musketeer and Pikeman! I now NEED to do Alex Harvey singing Delilah on the Old Grey Whistle Test, Spike of The Quireboys at Glasgow Garage last Thursday, Ronnie James Dio to go with the one of His Ritchieness.....not to mention Paul Rodgers, Cozy Powell and possibly a David Gilmour at The Wall concert (complete with 1/144 stuka....if you've seen the show, you'll get it!)

I have three or four 54mm figures if you'd like them. My eyes are/have given up on the smaller scale figures

The graven image takes shape. The masking tape shirt collar is not working, need to try the plasticard that came in the kit, so technically this is O.O.B.

Thanks for the offer Dai, but the Loft Fairy has been good to me and disgorged a load of Historex figures that I made many moons ago as a 1745 Rising diorama and never got finished.
p.s. not forgotten about the print, I had left the envelope with your address on at home when I went to work today.
