The only real problem I have encountered is with the carburetor air intake, which seems to sit too low:

Image

I am not sure whether this is due to the 3 piece nose not being fitted correctly, or poor design but I have overcome it as best as I can.

I have painted some of the add-on's:

and printed out the rudder and Squadron decals:

The rudder has been painted gloss white in preparation for the decal.
An Israeli Spitfire is always a nice build. Can't wait to see it finished.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Having received a copy of 'Spitfire - Star of Israel' from Old_Tonto (my hero) I have reassessed the markings for this and I am now doing "White 14", as per the detailed illustrations.

I have added the Star of David decals to the lower wing and fuselage, and I am now in the process of adding the white/blue/white ID stripes to the lower wings, and the no. 14 to the fuselage:

This is one of the spitfires supplied by the Czechoslovakian Air Force, and retains its red spinner with white backing plate.

Having masked circles on the upper wings and painted them a million times to get a decent white colour, I am attempting to print off larger Star of David decals to go in them:

I hope to have this done by the weekend....

That looks very nice. It's really sweet to see it in Israeli markings. Great build :)
