Bluesteels Sturmpanzer ***FINISHED***

A World War One GB - any subject, any scale, 1914-1918 - this is not a 1914-specific GB.
Runs 6 weeks, July 28th to September 8th, to allow plenty of time for biplanes, rigging, and holidays.

The traffic here sometimes moves at 9mph, particularly in summer, around construction and road work, the perfect environment for a lumbering beast like that. Just gently sprinkle a few Spandau rounds over the heads of the bridge and tunnel crowd and the snarled traffic should open like the Red Sea itself before Moses....well, if Mose had a Sturmpanzer.

Getting on with the Sturmpanzer. Generally a good fit but the front of the top decking looks like it's going to need some work.

It's a big beast. I thought the French Char Bis was a big tank but the Sturmpanzer positively dwarfs it:

It appears that the front of the top decking was slightly warped which is why I had trouble with the fit. A little coaxing and filler and it's almost flush.

Great work on the Sturmpanzer and that is a nice Char B1 as well. Trumpeter or Revell/Matchbox?

Thanks. That's the Matchbox Char B1. I've just bought the Trumpeter B1 bis to build as a comparison.

At 72nd scale over the Matchbox B1 at 76th scale the Trumpeter one will definitely be bigger.

Well I'm going to call that a finish.

I tried to add a little weathering in the form of rust on the rivets using Humbrol Weathering Powder, but their Rust is a little too light for my liking.
I've toned it down a little since the photos were taken so it'll have to do for now. Also the decals have a very thick backing film and it's hard to
hide the edges even with liberal use of Set & Sol and flat varnish.
