Splash's Hunter ***finished***

For this GB I have broken out the Frog Hunter FGA9 as it comes with Swiss markings.

First impression on opening the box is it looks a basic kit with fine raised detail but typical of the time a very basic cockpit.

Nice choice. I haven't come across many of these kits. Not sure why they seem like a popular aircraft.

Cheers Paul.

The fit of this kit is first class with no filler needed.

Tonight I was very close to dropping out of this GB, not because of the kit or the subject or lack of time or mojo.

So why the change of mind you might ask?

Having primed the Hunter in Tamiya White it was time to lay down the grey top base coat before adding the green, this was where my change of mind appeared, whilst laying down the grey top coat, suddenly I realised there in my hands was a Royal Naval Hunter as often seen at RNAS Brawdy or Yeovilton in the 70's. :-D

The good news is, that thought is now on the back burner, as I have a second Hunter in my stash that is destin for the Grey/white colours :-D

So here it stands ready for the green.

 Had me worried there for a mo, Alan!!!!

You'll need to modify the tailpipe if you do a GA.11, Alan - they had small-bore Avons.
