Well my string of GB bad luck continues - I managed to stand on my P-51 today and broke off the tail and one of the tailplanes ....

Thankfully I've managed to glue it back on. We'll see how it holds.

Cheers

Love that kit. And yes 1967 it is. That and the next few years were good for Monogram. To bad they did not add the wheel well detail of the 1/48 scale kit.

I have two extra sets of canopies if it will help.

We have had a string of breakage reports on the forum recently, but standing on the kit may set a new standard, high or low as you will :)

I agree Jeff it's not a bad kit - I'm planning on adding some detail to the U/C bay.

Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind although I should be ok.

Cheers

Yeah well... :)

Thats what happens when you forget you've put it in the footwell of your car to stop the sun getting too it and warping it....

Makeing some progress...

This has been my first attempt at painting D-Day stripes - I'm reasonably pleased although I have messed up one on the fuselage. There're also a fair few touch ups needed.

Still - It's moving along.

Cheers

That's starting to come together quite well considering the physical pounding you've dished out to it
Like the hand painted stripes as opposed to the decal versions.

Neat. And hand painted stripes always look better than decals. :)

Thanks Mark!

Well I'm getting there at a snails pace -the painting is done (including all the small bits) so just clear and decals etc.

Hopefully I'll finish before the deadline.

The stripes look good and you did a good job repairing the damaged parts.
