I decided to tackle the slight mismatch of the green cowl and the decals and also come up with a color that I could patch the underside of the green band. Amazingly enough I came up with something very very close - although SWMBO isn't here to tell me it's nowhere near :)

Image

But it needed something else and I came up with the idea of a Humbrol gloss-coat on the cowl which looked so good I also did the upper side of the top wing, the red tail surfaces, and the band around the fuselage and that sets off the semi-gloss of the aluminum and works.

Now it's time for rigging ....

That is a good match between the greens. How about a bit of EZ-line for the bungee cords on the bomb?

cheers

Actually I could fake it nicely with a thread - I am afraid that once I start I'll get all AMS-ey over the exact running of it and either run out of time or make a mess - I really didn't think it out well despite all my research. This thing is going well and I'm going to leave a few items off to ensure a clean(-er) build.

BTW, right now I'm putting in PE rigging - one piece, go wait a few hours, another piece .... I think I'll be done tomorrow.

OK, still the 2nd here ....

Image

I left a couple things off. I forgot the rigging between the cabanes and the semi-canopy was too big and too much work - they flew without 'em anyway. I had some trouble with the PE rigging - first 't's thick and tough to cut, then the lengths were exact, which may be my fault as I'm not really sure wings are true ....

Image

Image

I also forgot to run a little wash in the control surface gap - have to do that tomorrow ...

Image

And here's the rather barren bomb release ....

Image

Still I enjoyed the GB, it started relaxed, stayed relaxed with no real drama from the kit, then my schedule changed ....

I love the Goshawk and this'll be fine in my display; makes me want to get my CA kit out and do the bomb release right ....

Thanks for watching.
