My first attempt at a bit of sculpture with miliput. I was quite pleased with the results. The penguins may turn out a little cartoonish!dwomby wrote:The figures look very convincing in cold weather gear. I can't wait to see those little cones/sausages turn into penguins.

Thanks, I think they turned out quite nicely, given the lack of sophistication!dwomby wrote:They look (if you'll pardon the pun) really cool!

I've now finished all five:

Re: Andrew's Auster Antarctic
I'd been sort of ignoring this build due to lack of interest in the subject of the build, but fortunately the penguins caught my attention and showed me what I was missing. Great job, especially on all the corrections and updates.

I think those deserve some extra ninja bonus points - great work! I take it this'll be another CD mounted job? What do you use to cover the hole?
The Auster is looking great - Well worth the extra effort I'd say!

Finally get the plane on the third set of skis. These will be finished in silver. I also added missing struts. A few rigging lines, and that will be it for the model.

Right, new skis on, rigged and balanced. The Pitot tube has been added to the port wing, and the tail rigged.
The in-laws are coming for tea, so I needed to show them a model
I still need to tidy it up.

Nice work on the Auster, and the penguins have turned out pretty good too. Look forward to seeing it all come together.
