You're absolutely right Marek. The superstructure is highly reminiscent of a block of Moscow apartments.

Quick update, had a bit of a go slow making the detail parts but now racing along fitting them. Doesn't please me as much as the Kiev did but it looks okay and isn't a bad kit at all.

Bit more tidying up of the seam around the flight deck and more fittings on the starboard side, as well as the Flyco at the back of the 'tower' and we should be looking good for the finish (he said hopefully assuming several Sea Fury's don't get in the way!!)

Thanks!. I have put more filler around the seam of the flight deck as it wasn't 100%. It will also have to go it alone as I broke/lost the undercarriage of the two Ka-25's and they are about the size of a third of a sewing pin!. So no looking for them!. Anyway, nearly there, looks a little basic as Airfix did all of the aerials, antennae and radar dishes but didn't put a great deal of surface detail on.

Ayup Marky...

A nice build coming there. It was a 'classic' kit when I were a lad, and you've piqued my interest in it now. Thanks ! More money gone from the wallet LOL.
The best thing, is to keep on building. Clap your hands, stamp your feet, wiggle your fingers…

Hi, not much more to put picture wise so just a quick update. MORE filler around the flight deck edge, probably more down to my positioning of it than the kit, painted now. Cranes are on and the hull has been painted. Although this GB has been extended to the 28th I wanted to see if I could squeeze it into the original date timeline. SO close, she may get done today/tonight.
