Terminator Genisys. I really wanted to like Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor but… she was awful. Her GoT cohort Lena Headey played the role far more convincingly in the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV show. Big Arnie was solid as ever though, and saved the whole mess from oblivion. Really not a great movie. Possibly behind even Terminator Salvation in the stack of Terminator movies. Oh dear.

So Terminator started off as a fantastic film and has steadily declined with each sequel then, pretty much like Jurassic Park

I quite enjoyed Jurassic World - it was big and dumb and loud and stupid. Just like the first one, it was unpretentious and a summer tentpole movie. Maybe I have something seriously wrong with me but the "death by pterodactyl" scene had me rolling with laughter.

Yeah, thinking about it, I really must have something wrong with me…

Just watched an excellent, but quite strange, Russian war movie called Belyy Tigr (White Tiger). Well worth tracking down, and if you have the bandwidth you can stream it in glorious 720p HD complete with English subtitles at Playmovie.

War Horse

Hadn't seen this in a long time. One of my top 5 films of all time. And yes, I did shed a few tears at it. But they were MANLY tears! ;-)

Ted

Again, on Channel 4 last night. Not sure if it's just me, but it doesn't hold up too well to repeat viewings.

It is funny the first few times you see it, but the jokes aren't as funny the fifth or sixth time you watch it!

Watching "Strange Days" for maybe the 400th time. Juliette Lewis. Oh my goodness, Juliette Lewis.
