The Beaufort is not one of their best Dirk. It might be too much for a four week GB.

On the contrary, there are poor kits and the Beaufort is one of them - look at the effort Shep (Bigfiver69) is putting into his build! I'm not convinced it's a suitable project for a 4 week GB.

And yes, I have one of these in the stash, courtesy of Paul Bradley who was gracious enough to offload it donate it. But I'm only going to tackle it when I have more time free!

Cheers

I'm sure you're right, Andrew, but I fancy a go at a Beaufort as well. I think I'd try to use the cowlings from their Beaufighter, rather than use those in the kit.

I'm still considering what to build.

A Firefly or Barracuda might be nice. :)

It would be nice to see the Barracuda built. It is one that I have been after for a while now.

I have a Barracuda also, that canopy and wing position make it look quite daunting to paint.

A quick nosey through the stash tells me I have a few to choose from.
Sea Venom, Arado 234 , Harrier GR1 and a Wyvern. Further rummaging's further back show a Shackleton and Marauder but I'll give those a miss.

I have decided on my subject for this, a B-25 Mitchell decked out as a Doolittle raider (his plane in fact).
