"Strike From the Sea" GB proposal.

Post by Chuck Finley »

Would anybody be interested in having a carrier based attack bird group build? Contender could be from any era or nation from 1918 to 2000 as long as their primary mission is to fly off flat-tops and drop ordinance. Acceptable entries would include subjects such as torpedo bombers from the Sopwith Cuckoo of 1918 through Swordfish and TBM Avengers or Kates, Dive bombers like Blackburn Skuas, SBDs, or even Ju-87Cs, Attack bombers such as HS Buccaneer, Etenard, A-4 Skyhawk, A-3 Skywarrior, and A-6 Intruder. Land based bombers would not be allowed nor fighter bombers such as the F/A-18 Hornet.

I myself, have a SB2U-2 Vindicator and A3D-2 Skywarrior that need the light of day! :)
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

I've got plenty of kits that fit the bill so I'm in

Kits won't be my problem, time maybe but I'll give a conditional yes to this.

This is very similar to the 'Naval Wings GB' already on the calendar Chuck, both of your suggested kits fit nicely into that one.

As Tom says, this duplicates the Naval Wings GB in August - check out the thread here:

http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=10473;

As this suggestion duplicates that, I suggest those who are interested join that GB. :grin:
