Status/Fate of the RAF 100th GB ? ** Extended **
It seems the RAF 100th is winding down, yet some people are talking about using a SB to keep it alive until year-end. It's a good thought, but there are some limitations -- SB were not meant for this.
What if we just leave the GB open, right where it is, and let it run ? At year-end -- no extension into 2019 -- we'll have a full GB to archive.
Moderators may be tired or want to move on, others may want to help out -- all this can be worked out.
Thoughts ?

That sounds perfect John, if you need a replacement/assistant GBL I would be happy to help.

A fine solution, John, allowing us cold weather builders to get back into the winter building season and possibly getting something done.

Works for me. RAF/FAA Cold War subjects are pretty much all I build. Thanks for suggesting it, John.

Re: Status/Fate of the RAF 100th GB ?
I think this is a good idea. I can stay on as an assistant GBL if required but won't be up for consideration for the full GBL mantle if Stuart doesn't want to continue. We are planning some home improvement works for the summer/early autumn and as a result my modelling room will have to be vacated for a few weeks and all of the contents safely packed away - I will be able to contribute with comments, encouragement, assistance generally, but it is likely that I will be unable to build for a while.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Great idea I have started mine but as yet not posted the build. Progress will be made soon.

Re: Status/Fate of the RAF 100th GB ?
Sorry for being quiet all, I had a bit of a modelling disaster over the weekend.
I'd say it was a great idea and a very worthy tribute - I'd be happy to carry on as GBL.
Regards

Re: Status/Fate of the RAF 100th GB ?
I think I would like to carry on making RAF stuff even if the GB ended when originally planned. I have an on-going British Aircraft project so RAF types are likely. Would be nice to carry on for a little while at least on here.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

It's great that this GB will continue, I have a number of builds planned for the rest of the year.
