More to come later. The very old looking loco with the wooden boarded boiler is the actual engine that pulled the very first passenger train back in 1825. The woodwork on the engine and tender has been replaced. The museum is now called Head of Steam and is one of the oldest stations on the planet. The oldest that is still in use today. Trains still use one of the platforms. Only the old station on the Heighington line is older. It's now converted into a pub. Our council are wanting to sell off part of the North Road station to a brewery. Not a good idea.

The Blue Deltec in the background, is that the same one that used to be on display in the Science Museum in London?

My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Is Locomotion holding "The Great Gathering" in February? All six surviving Mallards in the same museum at the same time.
Was at Dads last night reading some info about the National Railway Museum. All six were there in October/November.

That's the original Deltic as built. It had the very American looking nose, which was deleted from the following production models.
The Kitmaster model is still available from Dapol.
All the A4s will be coming soon to Locomotion.
