Hmmmmmmm. Hobby Boss Easy Assembly kits. Maybe an amendment to the Wus clause.
Just kidding. It is all looking good.

Just in from the rally. A good event, so I'm feeling good too. I'll have a cuppa whilst I take the canopy masking off. And paint the engine, wheels.....
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

My snack was a mug of tea with a Hunter's Sausage and some Kabinossi
One step further on, last details added and painted;
and decaled;
Finished at 01:45. Time taken; 15 hours 45 minutes, including 6 hours away at a rally.
I'll do gallery photos later, I have to find and put fresh batteries in my camera.

Good looking Hellcat Fred, I'm liking it a lot. The paint you've used for the GSB looks pretty good to my eye too, might I ask what it is please? I've got several Hellcats in the stash & that would be useful info.

The fancy photos;
Now, for the colour.
Here's a comparison of blues on wings.
Clockwise from top; Humbrol Gloss Sea Blue; Humbrol Insignia Blue; Humbrol 15 Midnight Blue; BMW Dark Blue
A wider view;
Clockwise from top; Insignia Blue, 15 Midnight Blue; BMW Dark Blue; Gloss Sea Blue
To my eye Humbrol Gloss Sea Blue has a grey tinge to it and appears noticeably lighter than Insignia, whereas its supposed to be a bit darker. The BMW Blue is slightly darker than Insignia.
The Humbrol Insignia is colour number 189 and Gloss Sea Blue, number 181, both long discontinued colours.
The BMW Dark Blue is out of a Holts rattle can from a car parts/paints shop.
