Martin's cave
Re: Martin's cave
for those wandering about this kind of pole the Venom is sitting. There is a Venom in the UK put quite that way:

That is a really excellent diorama Martin, very imaginative and very well executed.

Re: Martin's cave
This is one from the dark corner of doom. I started this in summer 2013 and it sat there for a year now.
I'm talking of Revell's 1/72 Sunseeker Predator
This was the state when I left it last year
This tape is on there for more than a year I wonder how it will come off ... haven't tried yet
and yep, I also started a base for it
So last week I grabed it from the dark corner and started to smear some paint on to the base
Well at the moment it's more like painting a picture than scale modelling. This base is damn huge, 80x40cm, really don't know what I thought when I started this.
to be continued ...

Re: Martin's cave
Now that's not a subject you see being built on here very often Martin and hopefully the interior will be OK when the tape comes off. Great work with the seascape as well, it's good to see the stages that you have gone through.

Re: Martin's cave
Thanks Shaun. I've lifted some of the tape and it looks ok but I have to paint the furniture first so will see in the end.

Re: Martin's cave
The Predator is one I have been looking for for a while. Thinking putting some figures on it or turning it into a patrol craft.
Maybe I need 2?

Re: Martin's cave
Well, it's going slow at the moment, most time I spend to smear paint onto that base and somehow it did get uglier with each coat, so I made it all white again and restarted it, now the water starts to look the way I wanted it, but still not sure.
The tape did come off pretty well but I have to do some corrections
and yep, I painted some furniture
