Re: SS Olympic
Well done on you perseverance I gave up after only one lifeboat.
Having see what you have achieved, I might make another attempt at building the Titanic.

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

Re: SS Olympic
@Dirk. The lifeboats were in two pieces - one a simple strip meant to be the keel, the other a 3-oval piece meant to be folded over the keel to be top & 2 sides. You'll see them in the lower left of the 2nd parts sheet or all over the 3rd one.
I made the 2 sides fold in, tried to hold that in thumb & forefinger, dropped in some glue, then the keel, then tried to pinch it closed, neatly.
Some went well, other did not.
Anyway, it is done .... That's my story & I'm sticking to it.
Actually I skipped a gaff and the rigging and didn't bother to try to touch up edges.
The guns were only 2 parts but tiny. Next time, I am going to start slow and build all the little stuff, saving the big pieces for the end.
Whew ! Too many very small parts; and I'm used to photo-etch so maybe I'm just getting old. Enjoyed the GB, thanks to Simon for the idea and pushing it through, and to everyone for their help.
As I have said, another of these, larger scale is a good prospect. But first I want to do the Gun Carrier for my 6-pdr.

A great way to get the Olympic in that fantastic scheme without or the horrible masking.
