Laminate Floor Goblin: A relative of the Carpet Monster. Thrives in carpetless areas, possibly occupying interdimensional wormholes through which errant model parts disappear forever.

Jack-in-the-Box : Closely related to the above technique, but sneakier; it requires the complicity of a supplier to conceal smaller kit boxes inside one larger kit box, hence reducing the visual impact of an arriving parcel

Also the ABC isn't in the Glossary. I know A is acquired and B is built, but what is C? Perhaps someone could add it

Re: Glossary Chat
I have so enjoyed reading this thread!
I am fluent in "Dolls house and miniatures talk" (DHAMT)I have special words that help in all sorts of Model making situations. These special words don't always work in really bad fitting situations but, I feel a lot better having let rip!

Do you find yourself looking for a succinct phrase or expression to express a concept or situation related to modelling? Fear not! Here is a chance to find the words you're looking for to put into a nutshell a set of circumstances that any fellow modeller can relate to.
Observation Post - The moment when you have just posted a 'Finished' photo and immediately spotted some error or omission that was hitherto unnoticed
Particle Acceleration - The law of nature that dictates that 'The smaller and more irreplaceable the part, the greater the distance it will travel when it pings off your tweezers'*
*Tiny transparencies like 1/72 HUDs and position light covers will often turn up in a completely different postcode/Zip Code once the kit has been finished
