Re: German officers...title to follow :)
When I posted the photo on Facebook to get URLs for the photos, Robert Vaughn in Bridge at Remagen was one of the guesses too, but no.
Another guess was Colonel Clink and Sergeant Schultz!
.....although, technically that was slightly closer

One figure is made with 1/35 Italeri Tank Crew torso and arms and Mini Art German civilian police legs. Some sprue and filler were used to bring the figure up to the required height.
The other figure is also from the 1/35 Italeri tank crew, but with 54mm (1/32) Airfix 1776 Grenadier arms as I had fattened up the torso and needed the arms to be proportionally thick.

Re: Purplethistle makes a scene....
Someone else on Facebook guessed Valkyrie from that photo too Nigel. I reckon the background is causing that confusion, but it is the actual background from the movie scene with the actors airbrushed out. The Italeri figures that I used are not great for getting a likeness to actual people, being kind of 'shallow' facially, but this is just a bit of fun. I'm warming to the theme of movie scenes though, so I'll probably use 'Hornet' heads in future, or the Airfix 54mm ones which are good but rare.

It could be where Mr Hilter and Fatso met before getting the French to sign the surrender treaty in the train carriage at Versailles?

Re: Purplethistle makes a scene....
We have a winner, well done Matt.
Just some framing of the scene....
...and of course, the subtitles......
Bit of a steep learning curve on this one. The sheet of clear acetate with Letraset subtitles seemed like a good idea, but it's too shiny and reflective and distorts the background. Also, because I've completely boxed in the figures, there's not enough light getting in. Oh well! I'll see if I can sort the issues out
