Wonder if it´s worth it to get Aircraft of the Aces No.19 ?

Post by Crashpilot »

Anyone know well about the "aircraft of the aces" book series?
Question:
I have an old edition of A. of Aces No.9 "American P-38 Lightnings of Europe and the Mediterranean", which was expanded to No.19: "P-38 Lightning aces of the ETO/ MTO".
It grew from 60 to 99 pages, there´s one more chapter, and some of the other chapters have more pages now.
One thing I like most in this series, are the colour side views of the planes flown by the different pilots.
In my No. 9 book, the side views are pretty worthless for a modeller, because they are too small, and the contrast between the colours is faint:

they are a mere 4 inches / 10 cm long, the images of the planes -
in the other books I got from this series, the side views are LARGER, and show GOOD contrast.
So, I wonder, apart from the extra text I get in No.19:
Are the side views LARGER / show BETTER CONTRAST than in No.9?
I wouldn´t like to spend my bucks just on some "extra lyrics" :???:
Waiting for the day, when wars for territory will be something to be read about in history books only.
