I've hacked the layout and marked the original poster not to hide when on a smaller screen, as you can see things get a little bit confusing. It would need a lot more work to make things readable as layouts need to be tested on wide range of screen sizes and ratios

chrism wrote: April 25th, 2021, 12:27 am Is there any chance of getting the code to allow "like" options? I did ask this a long time ago, and it was mentioned that if/when an upgrade happened ... (I know the code exists to allow it to be incorporated in php boards).
We plan to have a discussion about 'like" buttons in the near future. It would seriously change the feel of the forum and the pros and cons need to be carefully weighed up.

Clearly a lot of hard work has gone into this upgrade - much appreciated.

new look looks great, me likey :-D

on the car club forum i was in we used to have a thanks button rather than a like button, not sure if that's an option here but it was a good way of thanking those peeps with all the knowledge who help people out with stuff.

One niggle. As a colour-challenged person I can't tell from looking at the 'hamburger' when a thread has an unread post.

I changed the board format to 'black' and the icons used there are much easier to see but the overall black effect is not great IMHO.

If it's possible, can the icons on the 'silver' be changed to the same as used on the 'black'. when you do other maintenance? Unless that messes things up for other users.

A bit late to the party but well done James and Team for a seamless job very well done.

Yeah, there are a couple of new things to get used to, but overall it's working really well - I like the new PM/notification bit on the top right especially.

Looking forward to seeing the good old UAMF banner back though :-D

I'm not sure I follow, the 'hamburger' is the drop down "quick links" menu top left. If a thread has an unread post there is a little red page icon before the thread title. Do you mean in the forum view?:

Are you have trouble differentiating the red and blue circles? On a computer if you hover over them they do say Unread posts and No unread posts.

I'm afraid I'm not going to start mixing styles up; the icons in 'black' will probably look awful when used with silver, but I can make small tweaks to improve readability.

Yes, that's my problem. The red v blue circles don't show up to my eyes but I'll try the 'hover' when using my PC.

I completely understand. That's fine. Thanks again for all you do.

Hi, I'm also missing the wants and needs sections, and have more than adequate posts?

Strange I’ve just tried looking at the board index with your permissions and I can see it. It’s in a section called swap shop towards the bottom on the board index

I have been missing for a few weeks and was quite caught out with the change.

Thanks for all the hard work that you have done to keep the site up to date and working so well.

Cheers,

I didn't know there is or was a Wants and Needs section. I've searched the site and cannot find it.

You can't access it until you have the required number of posts. https://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=21428
