Today's the day. If you can make it, please do. The new venue is amazing. Everything is in one huge hall so no more tucked away rooms or corridors to deal with.

Re: Farnborough Modelfest - 20 August 2023
No comments from anybody on this forum so I have to assume nobody from here made the journey.
The show went very well and all of the comments from clubs and traders who attended have been very positive. We hope to be able to hold the show again next year at the same venue. There is plenty of room to expand so more room for more clubs and traders if necessary.
This is a view of just HALF of the hall just as set-up was coming to an end and the doors opened to the public.

Looks a great set up and venue Eric
Farnborough is a good five hour drive for me now so not a chance I'll be able to get there I'm afraid... in fact there don't seem to be any 'big' shows reachable from here unfortunately

If you can walk away from a landing, it's a good landing. If you use the airplane the next day, it's an outstanding landing

The perils of leaving civilisation behind

One of many scale model shows that I keep missing out on.

We had family down from Scotland over the weekend otherwise I would have gone. That is my old stomping ground as I went to school in Fleet and lived in Bagshot, Camberley and Aldershot for years. Looks like a great venue Eric.

Ain't that the truth!
99% of the time it really suits us, but occasionally there are things we do miss...Lincoln is our nearest bit of civilisation (and home to our daughter, son in law and new grandson) and is only an hour away when we need a quick fix
Best wishes
