We learned a lot from last year's show, so we will have a better one this year.

Another one over. All in all, a pretty good day, so loads of photos for later.

Footfall was down on the 2023 event, and competition entries were down by 100 from last year.

The sales spaces were a big improvement, but were quite tight. Just so much stuff on display. Quite a lot of spending, but not as many bulging bags and packed boxes, as I've seen before. The Bring & Buy was busy from 10 am until around 1.30 pm, with a lot of stuff going. This made around £200 for our Focus Charity, NSPCC. I had around £400 worth of kits to move, but only shifted about £150. People were checking Ebay for prices. I said that I would sell for 25% below the lowest Buy It Now price. Some were half Ebay prices to start with.

I was a little concerned that we could only offer 2 tables to each model club. This means that members couldn't show all their models, though it also means that they know how many tables they have, and only need bring enough models to fill them. The under table space was completely filled, spilling out into the aisles in places.

We need to collate the feedback and run the numbers. I know money is tight, but we need to review our promotion. We have learned a lot, today.

Myself and Craig took a drive up the A1 from Doncaster yesterday to check out the show. Passed a good few hrs wandering about the rooms and checking out the stands and goodies on offer. Saw a few Sigs/Model club stands we hadn't seen before as they maybe don't venture south.A pleasant day out was had.

Here some photos. I basically flit from stand to stand, snapping away as I go. I didn't have a lot of spare time, as I was on the Bring & Buy, which made a nice bit of money for our Focus Charity, NSPCC. The lighting wasn't too clever, so I should have used my phone, rather than my Lumix Camera.
