1:72 Airfix Sea King HC4

Post by wokka »

This is a far nicer kit than the older Airfix Sea King, it goes to gether a lot better. Only issues are some of the decals didn't stick very well and came off and the carpet monster had one of the pitots. I decided on folded blades for a change.

Pretty sweet build. The classic workhorse.

Nicely done Wokka, I picked one up myself back in Jan. I think I'll go with the folded option too.

Super build and finish. Really pleased to see that you have completed one: I hope that helps with your personal recovery.

Looks rather good and different in those markings. Lessons from the 1/48 Sea King tell me that when folded, the two rotors on the 'outside' should come down much lower and at a much more acute angle. As well as being more realistic, you can save even more storage space that way!

A cracking build that - nicely done. I picked up the SAR boxing of this kit recently - I'm glad to hear it goes together well.
Stuart Templeton I may not be good but I'm slow...
