Military surplus air racer
In between things I wanted to do, I picked this up cheap, they are cheap anyway. I didn't even know what I wanted to do with it, so I came up with the idea of a Reno style / cross country racer.
I built it straight out of the box, other than de-gunning it, to give the craft a post military appearance.
I hope it appeals to one or two of you.

Thats cool. I like to see someone brave enough to think outside the box on kits like this. It drives the diehard fans outta their minds

Seems it would be an excellent late entry into one of the POD races in The Phantom Menace!

I doubt that, actually. This is a universe where everything is used, repaired, and tinkered with way beyond what the (in setting) designers ever envisioned or intended. I'd say this is completely appropriate.Dirkpitt289 wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 3:24 pm Thats cool. I like to see someone brave enough to think outside the box on kits like this. Those snowspeeders were little more than glorified 'technicals' modified from civilian craft to begin with. This version would be the 'hot rod' conversion from the same beginnings. A bit like sticking a Merlin engine under the hood of a truck, instead of a FLAK gun on the load bed
Good thinking and good execution of the idea.
