Re: Tim's Missile With Two Men In It *Started*
Thanks for the comments. Still filling and sanding so not much to show from last time.
When I've sanded this down I'll give it a coat of primer and see how it looks.
And now, some music....

The filler has been sanded down and a coat of primer applied. There were a few spots that needed attention so I applied more filler which I'll leave to set while I watch 'Doctor Who'.
The wingtip tanks have been sanded down and painted.
Time for some suitable music.

A good Dalek. What was he thinking?
Starfighter is looking sweet. I always preferred the two seater.

Sorry about the lack of updates but having knocked the nosecone off twice I gave myself some more filling and sanding to do. Now that's done it's back in primer again.
Next up is a coat of black paint then it will be time for the silver. I'm using spray cans so it shouldn't take long to dry.

I know, he should have realised that there was something wrong with it.Old_Tonto wrote:A good Dalek. What was he thinking?

Never seen the video for that song before. Not what I was expecting.

Main paintwork on the fuselage is completed. First it had a coat of black.
Then the cockpit and intake lips were masked off, after which it was sprayed silver. The masking was removed and voila!
The filling and sanding took a lot longer than I expected but I should still finish in time.

Re: Tim's Missile With Two Men In It *Started*
An early(ish) start this morning. First thing was to get the wings on and the seats in. The seats took a bit of manoeuvring as the cockpit openings are narrower than the seat, especially the rear seat.
After a coat of Klear I did some detail painting and fitted the undercarriage.
Finally, with two hours to go I managed to find a picture of the real thing.

Re: Tim's Missile With Two Men In It *Finished, but a bit la
Well, it was close but after 24 hours there were still a few things left to do to finish it.
Just over 30 minutes later, after painting the anti dazzle panel with a tin of olive drab that looked more like a pudding than paint and adding the landing gear doors and wing tanks it was finished.
If I hadn't made extra work for myself knocking the nose off and having to refit it I would have finished in time.
