Bluesteels Caudron Renault 714 ***FINISHED***

While I'm waiting for the decals for my Morane to arrive I may as well make a start on the Caudron. In fact this is such a simple kit I may even finish before the decals arrive! Although it may take longer as the colour scheme is a tad odd if the Heller numbers = Humbrol ones as I many not have the paints or even anything close. We'll see.

Sprue shot:

Back to the Caudron now. More work to do with this one as it needs a bit of scratching to get a reasonable interior and filling wheel wells etc

So much for another Out of the Box Build. The cockpit is so basic and a lot of glazing so I just had to add an instrument panel, control stick, rudder pedals and throttle unit. Also blanking plates behind the rear glazing that aren't supplied in the kit:

Wings, tail surfaces and canopy now attached and tidying up the seams:

Nice. I've become a bit of a fan of Heller kits of late. This looks to be another little hidden gem of theirs.

Yes it's a very nice little kit. The fit is great. But it's in desperate need for someone to produce an after-market resin and/or PE interior set for it as there's a lot of clear glazing and a very Spartan interior in the box, just a seat,

Too late for you now, Julian, but there's a new company out of Poland called Yahu Models which produced PE IPs, including some for lesser-known aircraft such as the C.714. Check out there range here:

http://yahumodels.siemianowice.com/katalog-ii;

Sold by Story Models in the UK.

Camo going on this morning. Quite a complicated fiddly three colour scheme:

Thanks Paul. But it looks like just the instrument panel for the RS Models 714. The Heller 714 needs a complete set. Useful to know though, and some other interesting stuff available there. Duly Bookmarked :)

The canopy isn't as good as I'd have liked it but it could have been worse. Alto the top roundels have some slight white overprint that I'll have to touch up at some stage. But I'm calling it a finish for now.
