Camouflage done and airframe fully assembled. I'll post up the pics tonight.

And I might as well build the other one.... :-D

A few touch-ups to the paintwork needed here and there, then it's time for decals....

Hmm.

I'm not sure how this happened, but another one of these has somehow managed to get itself ordered from ebBay....! :ha:

I've heard of this, there are two possible reasons. 1) Phantom ordering syndrome, you have a poltergeist ordering stuff, or 2) Sleep ordering!. :ha:
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

TE462 finished:

Just needs a coat of matt over everything to seal it.

The aircraft in the museum has no squadron codes or stencilling as far as I can recall!

As for the kit - nice build! The model goes together easily enough, with minimal filler required (I only needed a dribble of PVA around the ammunition bays). Better than the Airfix Club kit overall. Not yet tried the ICM or Revell Mk.XVIs in the same scale, however, but they will be done soon enough.

Thanks.

I've started the second aircraft already. Will not bother with pics of the build as it will be exactly the same as the first, but will post the finished article.

I'm trying to go with a theme for my larger builds, and that is that they are of surviving aircraft. This model will hopefully be finished as the aircraft belonging to Kermit Weeks, so will wear the kit decals (save for the serial).

The Italeri decal sheet comes with a ton of stencils. Luckily for me, the full-sized aircraft does not!!

Thanks, Shaun.

I have another to build! This one will be the BBMF aircraft.

I've dug out the Airfix Club version to build next. I built one of these some months back, and the Italeri is higher up the scale in terms of quality. However, it does not have the elliptical wingtips...!
