That's a really nice build Martin. Colours look spot on. I used the same kit for my whif recently and thought it was fairly ok

It's a lovely kit, Toby. Thoroughly enjoyed building it.

Can I ask as to what paints/shades you used, in particular the topside camo splinter, the contrast between the
two greens looks just right.

Thanks
Thanks Vincent,

Topsides brush painted with Xtracrylix: RLM70 Schwartzgrun and - *ahem* - RAF dark green. Perhaps too much contrast, but you can actually see 2 different shades . . . . I was pleased how it came out.

Bottom: Revell Aqua Hellblau (65, I think).

Bombs: IJN green

regards,
Thanks for the info Martin, I'm about to start painting a Do17 atm and am a little unsure about about which
shade/brand of RLM70/RLM71 to go with but if I can get something close to you Stuke I should be quite satisfied.

Cheers

Vincent,

My previous attempts at 70 / 71 splinter have failed because there wasn't enough contrast between the shades (pretty accurate then - but looked rubbish). I'd go for your preferred brand of "black-green" and then something like an RAF dark green should see you right (although not H30, of course).

Martin

Great build Martin, and I like the contrast between the two greens!!! I built a ju88 not so long ago with the splinter pattern and the supposid correct colours didn't really stand out from one another that well so may steel your paint suggestions here for a stuka or two I have in the stash :)

Keep up the good work,

Ollie

Nice Stuka, I agree with comments about painting; very efficiently executed and nice colour demarcation. Looks tad better than 70/71.

Hello Martin,

A little bit late in finding this, but that is a superb finish, a real inspiration for my own current undertaking.

I like the different shades of green. On my Ju88 I used the two Xtracrylix shades and there is barely any difference between them.

Best Regards,

Steve

That is an excellent piece of modelling Martin, top notch mate. I too don't use the RLMs, I go with a similar choice to yours to increase contrast. For me, a visually more appealing model on the shelf is more important than total accuracy.

A really excellent Stuka Martin!

Very nice work Martin. A couple of years ago I picked up some Almark decals on the cheap. You give me hope they will still be good.
