Got most of the superstructure done last night as well as most if not all of the aerials and fittings etc. Pics soon!!. P.S. there's a fair amount of plastic in this kit but only nine steps in the construction!.

Looks like Aoshima have done their job well. I like the kit by the looks of how it builds.

It did go together really quickly!!. Taking longer to paint and add the bits and bobs than it did to build it!.

It's usually that way with ship kits. An encouraging burst of visible progress followed by a slog through the little details. Persistence usually pays dividends though

Yesterday I put numerous little parts on the superstructure that are about 5mm each way using hands (mine obviously!! ), that are 4 1/2 inches wide and 8in long!. Not a perfect mix but we managed to lose only one part!!.

I thought of that but I tend to get 'bit snaps off into the ether from tweezer end' syndrome!!.
