Our 2nd sea-going GB, for any ship, any scale, etc. Does not include amphibious aircraft or vehicles - the medium is water.
Runs 6 weeks, 2 May - 13 Jun; your host is Dazzled. Extended to 28 June.

Hi, will try to do the Aoshima Kiev, the Moskva may have to wait but if it goes well enough(!?!) will go for doing both as it is a six week GB. :grin:

Got most of the superstructure done last night as well as most if not all of the aerials and fittings etc. Pics soon!!. P.S. there's a fair amount of plastic in this kit but only nine steps in the construction!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!! :lol:

Looks like Aoshima have done their job well. I like the kit by the looks of how it builds.

It did go together really quickly!!. Taking longer to paint and add the bits and bobs than it did to build it!. :grin:

It's usually that way with ship kits. An encouraging burst of visible progress followed by a slog through the little details. Persistence usually pays dividends though :)

Yesterday I put numerous little parts on the superstructure that are about 5mm each way using hands (mine obviously!! :lol: ), that are 4 1/2 inches wide and 8in long!. Not a perfect mix but we managed to lose only one part!!. :lol:
