Sadly James it is not ballasted so it would not float upright.

I have printed a decal with the title "RettungsBoje Generalluftzeugmeister" to fit around the tower and because the fleet number uses an unusual font I will use the number '17' simply because I have this number in white at the correct size, this will be overpainted in red to correct the font. The observation windows were made from clear plastic card and the protective grills were made by scoring the surface and filling the marks with paint, simple but effective in this scale.
The windows have been fitted to the sides of the tower and the tower and deck have been painted in yellow ready for the decals. The decals were then applied and the fleet number corrected, the red cross roundels are a little too small but they will do for now as should better ones turn up at some point I can apply them over these.

The railings have been made up out of stretched sprue and fitted.

Cheers Nigel, Daryl, I'm not happy with the mast as it looks too short.

The ladder and handrails are completed and it's time to paint the railings- out with the yellow paint again.

It's nearly finished now but I'm not happy with the aerial mast, it looks too short compared to the pictures so I have cut it away and will fit a taller one.
