Ayup David...

I've always marvelled at the understatement of the forces in wartime.

An RAF 'Float' is a 'Boat' to me ! A 'Lifeboat' (certainly in the film 'In which we serve') is a 'Carley float'. And the 18" square piece of polstyrene I learned to swim with is a 'Float' too ! has anyone any other strange nomenclature to share ?

Looks great David. It may be the captains yacht now though as, I'm afraid, it's time for me to hand over captaincy of this GB as we're off to Marrakesh tomorrow.

I'm sure the ship will be in safe hands. :)

The first coat of grey was applied, some flaws could be rubbed away and others could not- these were skimmed over with filler which has been left to harden.

The second coat of grey-

was followed by the Yellow-

Then the red stripes-

And lastly the brick red undersides.

THe DIY "ASR-2" decals were then made up, applied and have been left overnight to dry.
