And as you can see from the instructions - the cockpit is highly detailed...
I believe the correct phrase would be authentic detail :). It is a nice kit otherwise.

Thanks OT,

I managed to get the pilot painted, and the fin on too this morning before I went for a walk with my wife and kids (teaching my daughter to read an OS map and use a compass).

Hopefully I'll get another coat on the cockpit and pilot tomorrow so I can close up the front fuselage, then it should go together quite quickly as it's only really two sprues.

Anyway - it's Saturday night - I'm off to drink wine and relax now :ha:

Wine and models mmmmmm might have to try that!

Thanks Toby!

Bit more work has been done, I've filled/sanded the rear seam line and put back the missing panel lines, and I've painted the pilot...

My inner whiffer is telling me to do this in RAF Green/Grey wrap-a-round camo a'la Jaguar, with maybe SNEB Rocket pods...

Me too. It promotes the flow of creative juices.

And it makes my models look better.........., temporarily ;-)

Made some progress - assembled the rear section...

Overall the fit was really good, as you would expect? Although I did have to do a bit of filling and rescribing towards the rear.

I've also taped the nose together to test fit some PE I want to add to the cockpit...

Nice. That looks far superior to the Academy copy of this kit. Much cleaner details.
