I'd have to agree Tom. This is an example of Eduard at the top of their game. :)

Tom,

That is looking great so far. Have you seen the new Airfix one yet?

Looks very good, my HB will have to 'train hard' to live up to its cousin :)

Hi Steve, Yep seen it and built it a few years ago as the stripy Korean War example. A very nice kit to build but not a highly accurate one which is a shame - but it did show a marked improvement to their old tool.

Thanks Marek  The HB kit is a very nice one but the for a few £'s more I would have to choose the Eduard one, the extra detail and accessories are worth every penny.

I agree, I got both HB fifteens well before Eduard came out. Now I would not even think about them.

Now my MiG's all shiny  :

The metal is Humbrol Metalcote Polished Aluminium built up in several light mist coats and gently polished with a soft cloth. I'll give it a couple more days to cure fully and then I'll add a couple of Klear coats.

Looks terrific Tom. Did you brush paint it or have you taken the airbrush plunge?

Still moving Darryl  , the red unit marking has been masked and painted on the nose and another coat of Klear has gone on to seal the surface ready for decals:
