OMG, that is really very good.
Does look precarious though!

Superb, Fred, that really is a fantastic piece of modelling. Hopefully the attachment is strong enough to keep the Arado in place, it would be a crying shame if it fell off and got damaged!

Ha! Thanks Softscience! Love it!Softscience wrote:Your model is like this tree.
Outstanding in its field :D
And thank you very much to all for the kind comments. Here are a few more photos, taken by my wife who is a much better photographer than I am.
I'm really calling this model finished now. I finally added a few more details to the catapult, as well as some weights to keep it balanced. On the plane, I added the radio antenna and some cables for the wing-fold mechanism, all made from florist's wire.
While I very much appreciate the generous reactions to this model, let me assure you that this is a good example of something which "looks good from far, but far from good", mostly due to my poor attempt at working with resin. I'll post some more about these travails soon, in case anyone here is thinking of building this kit.
One thing that really strikes me looking at the completed kit(s) is just how short the catapult is compared to the plane. Getting up to flying speed in such a short distance with nothing ahead but the cold North Atlantic must have been an intense experience. Wartime exigencies, I suppose. Plenty of very brave people on both sides. Very few left now, sad to say.
Wishing a very good weekend to everyone here, and I hope you're blessed with better weather than we have in eastern Canada right now!

Two thumbs up.

Been watching this since you started it and I simply don't have the words. Inspiring? New benchmark to strive to? Just pure awesome? nothing does it justice

You are being very modest, Fred. That looks brilliant to me from any angle!
