Andrew's Firestreak Hunter *Finished*

A simple GB, convert one thing to another - any subject, any scale, any era, any method, but ending up with a different variant, than what the bits provide for in the box.
GB runs 16th April to 29th May and your host is Martin R.

Stinky cold today is reducing my modelling time to almost nothing. In between blowing my nose, I've tried another grey panel wash on the twin seat Hunter.

There are a few fiddly decals to put on, including the serials from individual letters and numbers. I do not feel up to that task at the moment.

The wheels and undercarriage were primed last night.

Another decal session, lots of stencils added, mostly on the undersides.

Image

That will do for stencils. There are a few more decals to put on the undercarriage doors. These have now been painted.

Then I have to attach the underwing pylons. These have mounting pins, but they forgot to put corresponding holes under the wings.
Why am I not surprised at this revelation?

The alignment of the orange wing panels has been bugging me, but now I see they align with the main wing LE, not the sawtooth. I'm slow.

Yep, I did align with panel lines, just for an easy life. The dayglo panels on the real FRADU Hunters didn't seem to, but as this is a hypothetical case, I can ignore that :-D

I thought I'd lost the sprue with the undercarriage parts on it

Fortunately I'd got it mixed up with undercarriage sprues from another kit... :omg
