It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Re: Andrew's Firestreak Hunter
The PE windscreen wipers have been installed.
As black objects on a black background, there's not a lot to see
The gun pod has been installed, and true to form, did not blend in nicely with the fuselage
A bit of filler has been applied, and I'll need to do a wee paint touch up.

I'm counting this one as finished.
The kit is a bit of a dog.
The Freightdog conversion set is excellent.

Andrew, I have a question. It was all painted up, decalled and the canopy unmasked and then you said you were going to do 'final varnishing'. So did you remask the canopy for that or what?

I shielded it with a post-it note while spraying. Saves loads of time.dwomby wrote:Andrew, I have a question. It was all painted up, decalled and the canopy unmasked and then you said you were going to do 'final varnishing'. So did you remask the canopy for that or what?

And there are very delicate PE windscreen wipers on the canopy, which I doubt would survive me slapping Tamiya's finest all over!dwomby wrote:Aha!AndrewR wrote:I shielded it with a post-it note while spraying.
