Martin's Zerstorer Pfeil *** finished! ***
Re: Martin's Zerstorer Pfeil
Oh, do behaaaave, the lot of you.
Now, here's something that looks a bit more like a Pfeil.
I need to fill around the wing roots, then get started on the details: oil coolers, undercarriage, props & cannon fairings.
Regards
Martin

What the hey?! A 1/144 Revell JF90. What's that doing here? Well, I like the look of the tanks.
Hmmm. With some further shaping, I think they could be my 30mm cannon fairings.
Leaving those to dry, I pfeiled the wing roots and added some more to the air inlet fairings to bulk them up a little. Then I added a scratched control column, painted and added the seat, and added the canopy.
Next up, add the air inlets, cannon fairings, nose weight and upper nose cowling, mask the canopy, and get some primer on to see where we are.

Martin

I really like what you are doing with this. I took the easy route and built the Dragon kit instead (and that's the last time you will see me use the words "easy" and "Dragon kit" in the same sentence):

Re: Martin's Zerstorer Pfeil
Nice Pfeil, Marine!
I feel similarly jaundiced about Dragon kits: nice detail, but poor fit. However, I am using the Revell boxing of the Dragon A variant as a guide to the improvements I could make.
I am also considering a "what if" colour scheme with Defence of the Reich tailband and grey / green camo.

So we've heard! The nurse's uniform in particular looks very fetching. :-)

Re: Martin's Zerstorer Pfeil
Oil coolers on! Cannon barrel fairings on!
Need to blend those all in (more pfeiling), mask the canopy, fill up the nose with lead, then on to priming.

That's starting to look very good.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Re: Martin's Zerstorer Pfeil
Thanks, chaps!
After a hilariously unsuccessful attempt to mask the canopy by cutting Tamiya tape in situ, I blobbed on some blu-tack and gave it a scoosh of grey primer.
There are plenty of relatively minor greeblies to clean up, but overall, it doesn't look too bad. Photo tonight.
regards,
Martin

And here's the aforementioned pic.
While I am waiting for my micromesh to arrive, I'll correct the greeblies and start work on the undercarriage.
