Re: Splash goes from Belfast to Southampton
I ordered "Town Class Cruisers" by Neil Mc Cart ISBN 978-1-904-45952-1 and it arrived in the post today, if anyone is looking to build any of the Town Class this book is a good source of research, I wish I had seen it before I started the build.
When I squared off the bridge I thought I might have made an error as all the photos of other ships in the class had slightly curved fronts to the bridge, this book has confirmed that I was in fact correct (that's a change for me) it would appear she was the first of the class and others that followed were all different.
Progress midship I have added the catapult rails, rear funnel, two cranes and the four midship twin guns.

Re: Splash goes from Belfast to Southampton
It's official I have gone mad and started modifying the excellent titchy little Walrus.
Out of the box Airfix have done an excellent job of supplying the basic little a/c that is made up of six parts, I just felt that by adding the wing struts from copper wire would improve overall look of the little plain.
I have seen some images of the a/c being moved around with its u/c down whilst being moved on the track system (it would have had to be down to fold the wings) so I might add the wheels in the down position.

This build gets better and better, and generally this Group Build has been very enjoyable to watch. Thanks for sharing this. The Southy is going to look amazing.

This is going to be a beauty when done. Very impressive. As for rigging the walrus, trained spider perhaps?.
