Like the Few dollars more one, but with more black*FINISHED*

A simple GB, convert one thing to another - any subject, any scale, any era, any method, but ending up with a different variant, than what the bits provide for in the box.
GB runs 16th April to 29th May and your host is Martin R.

All together now....the tremolo arm is a cut piece of a staple, shaped and double dipped in white paint at one end. Still got the tuning keys to do and the frets need more emphasis. I had intended to scallop all the fretboard, but had to give up on the last third as the frets were too narrow

Quite pleased with the likeness, especially as I had to sand off a beard and moustache, reshape the chin and use filler to make the upper eyelids. I'm trying to capture a particular expression that is not quite a pout and not pursed lips either. The eye shape on the kit was well designed and made to make eye painting easier......open eyes that is! I wanted half closed eyes looking down, requiring a some micro cutting and sanding and a teeny amount of filler

Adding filler and sculpting in 35th scale. That's some very good work.

I'm reluctant to admit that this one is 1/16 in case you then say, "Pah! a 5 year old could do that in a big scale!" I have previously done a Ritchie in 1/35, reshaping the chin etc, but I fancied really going to town with the guitar this time as I have tickets to see The Man next month :-D

That's awesome work, and I don't care what scale it's in, it's awesome in any scale!
Best wishes

Many thanks guys, not only was it a fun build as well as a challenge with the guitar, but I'm planning on converting the Ernst Udet figure from this same company to a 'Winkle' Brown for the GB, so this has been good practice as I really want to bring my A game to that one and do the great man justice.
