Almost there. All that's left is painting the windows on the Sea Kings and Sea Harriers and adding Seacats to the launchers.

In the background are my other June projects waiting for their markings to be added. ( Airfix F4F-4, Hasegawa A3D-2 Skywarrior, Special Hobby N3PB). I'm up to seven aircraft and one ship for the month of June. :)

Next on the slip are a USS wasp (CV-7) in her 1940 fit and USS Iowa from 1898. Both in 1/700th.

Very nice looking build, and good to hear June has been so productive as well.

I'm really enjoying watching this build!
just out of curiosity did the vehicles for the top of the runway come with the kit?
It looks so fiddly and tricky to put together :/

Yes, she comes with two Sea Harrier FRS 1s and two Sea Kings. As far as fiddly, let me say that the Sea Harriers have separate wings and fuselage in resin. The horizontal stabilizers, out-riggers, and pylons are separate photo-etch pieces. The Sea Kings have photo-etch doors, horizontal stabilizer, and rotors in photo-etch as well. Doe that answer your second question? :P

Thanks. Of course it also helps being employed as a school teacher with the school out for summer break. :)

Ladies and gentlemen, I present HMS Hermes (R12) as she appeared during the Falklands campaign of 1982.
